Platform Functionality

Branching Minds is developing a robust Early Warning System that is designed to integrate student risk identification as an integral component of a successful Multi-Tiered System of Supports. By leveraging real-time data on a student’s Attendance, Behavior, and Course Performance from Student Information Systems, school districts will be able to systematically flag students in need of support using district-specific threshold criteria.

The new data model underpinning this feature aligns with Edfi’s standards, as well as the format available for all the major SIS and behavior management source systems used by our district partners.

Source System Integrations

Data from Student Information Systems and other relevant vendors can be sent to Branching Minds through their API, or as csv files sent to the Branching Minds SFTP. Some systems support API data transfer or scheduling files nightly directly to the SFTP. For others, you may need to export and share files directly.
