Redesigned Assessment Tab on Student Profiles, Behavior PM Dataset in CRB, EWS Configuration by Course

Redesigned Assessment Tab on Student Profiles

We've redesigned the Assessments tab on student profiles with a new two-state experience that gives you a clearer, more interactive view of student assessment performance over time. The redesigned tab makes it easier to understand how a student is performing across assessments at a glance, and to explore specific assessments in depth without leaving the student profile.

When you navigate to the Assessments tab, you'll now see a line chart showing performance over time for a default assessment measure, an optional comparison panel where you can add a second assessment to plot side by side, and a summary table of historical performance by assessment measure.

You can adjust which assessment is displayed, which metric is shown (score or percentile), and which school year is in view using the dropdowns provided.

When you click a specific assessment in the table, the view shifts into a focused detail state: the chart updates to reflect that assessment family, and a detailed table shows all individual records for that assessment β€” including date, subject, measure, score, percentile, and performance level, each with trend indicators.

Additional information

  • The default assessment displayed on load is the measure with the most recent score.

  • The default school year view is "Most Recent," which includes the current and prior school year.

  • The comparison panel is optional; no second assessment is selected unless you choose one.

  • Performance level colors match the colors configured for each Assessment Family in your district's settings.

Configure Course Performance Risk by Course Subject or ID

If your district flags risk based on specific subject areas (such as a failing grade in ELA or Math) or prioritizes graduation-required courses, you can now configure the Early Warning System to reflect those policies accurately.

District administrators can now configure Course Performance risk rules in the Early Warning System to apply to specific course subjects, course IDs, or course names. Previously, risk was calculated across all course records for a student.

When setting up a Course Performance risk rule, you can now optionally filter by course subject, course ID, or course name. Filters are optional; leaving them blank preserves the current behavior of applying risk across all courses. If you have multiple risk rules configured, the system continues to use the highest resulting risk level.

Additional information

  • Existing Course Performance risk configurations are not affected by this change.

  • This is an optional enhancement; no changes are required if your current setup works for your district.

New Behavior Progress Monitoring Dataset in the Custom Report Builder

You can now more easily identify which students have behavior progress monitoring plans with no recorded scores, track how students are progressing over time, and compare behavior monitoring data across schools, grades, student groups, and staff.

We've added a new Core Report dataset in the Custom Report Builder for Behavior Progress Monitoring Plans & Scores. This dataset helps you report on student behavior progress monitoring plans and recorded scores over time in one place.

It includes plan details such as the behavior topic, progress monitor, measure, goal, assigned staff, plan dates, and recorded scores. Plans with no recorded scores yet are also included, so you can report on all created behavior progress monitoring plans.

Additional information

  • This is a new dataset available to district users in the Custom Report Builder.

  • Plans without recorded scores are included, so you can report on all created plans regardless of data entry status.

Decimal Support for Behavior Progress Monitoring Scores

You can now enter and save decimal values in behavior progress monitoring score fields. Previously, only whole numbers were accepted. Decimal values such as 2.5, 3.75, and 0.5 are now accepted and displayed accurately after saving.

Removed Stacking "Draft Saved" Notifications

The repeated stacking of "Draft saved" toast notifications in to-do and task entry workflows has been resolved. When draft saves occur in quick succession, the system now replaces the existing notification rather than stacking multiple visible toasts, preventing form fields from being blocked during active data entry.

Default First Week Selected on New Progress Monitoring Plans

When a user creates a new Progress Monitoring plan, the system now defaults to selecting both the first and last weeks of the plan's date range. Previously, only the last week was selected by default, which meant PM prompting did not begin at the plan's start unless users manually selected earlier weeks.
